A message from the developer
Welcome to Castle Conquest
I’m looking for players to help test Castle Conquest, a 2-player competitive tabletop-inspired strategy game that I’ve built as a browser-based prototype.
Castle Conquest combines tower defence, card battling and tactical board movement. Each player controls a castle, selects a Champion, builds a deck and tries to fight their way through the enemy defences to defeat the opposing Champion.
The game is still in active development, so I’m specifically looking for people who are happy to:
How you can help
- Try to break the game
- Find bugs and strange card interactions
- Test different Champions, decks and strategies
- Point out confusing rules or UI
- Tell me when something feels too strong, too weak, frustrating or pointless
- Give honest feedback after playing
What I’m testing
- Overall game pace
- Attacking vs defending
- Champion balance
- Room balance
- Creature, Spell, Trap and Upgrade usefulness
- Movement and combat clarity
- Deckbuilding
- Rook, the solo AI opponent
- Bugs, crashes and unusual interactions
- Whether you would genuinely want to play another match
No download is required — the current version runs in a web browser. You do not need to be an experienced playtester or game designer. In fact, feedback from completely new players is especially useful because I want to know whether the game makes sense without me standing next to you explaining it.
There are separate forms for general playtest feedback and bug reports, so reporting problems should be quick and straightforward.
I’m also very happy to trade playtests with other designers — if you spend time testing Castle Conquest, I’m more than willing to return the favour and test your project too. Just join the server and send me a Discord DM!
Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try!
